ACTED South Sudan Multi-Purpose Cash Assistance (MPCA) - Post Distribution Monitoring (PDM) Report, Majoknythiou Reception Centre & Host Communities, Northern Bahr el Ghazal State 2026
A reception centre has been receiving South Sudanese returnees and refugees fleeing conflict in Sudan. The centre has taken in approximately 6,727 households, which translates to 20,344 individuals, since June 1, 2025. This influx has led to sustained humanitarian needs and pressure on facilities and services.
The surrounding host communities have also been affected. In response, an organization implemented Multi-Purpose Cash Assistance to support vulnerable households. The assistance targets returnee and refugee households in the reception centre and nearby communities.
Further details on the situation and the assistance provided are available from the source report, which includes a post-distribution monitoring assessment.
