Transmission of measles remains high, especially among young children. A significant portion of confirmed cases are infants who are too young to receive routine vaccination. Partners are working to identify areas where vaccination coverage can be improved.

Further action is planned, including assessing the needs of older age groups and investigating infections among very young infants. Case management is also being strengthened. Details of the outbreak and response efforts are available, including the number of suspected and confirmed cases reported as of early August.
