Refugees are at risk due to overcrowding, with one camp operating at more than three times its intended capacity. This camp is home to approximately 81,000 people. A cholera outbreak has resulted in numerous cases and deaths.

There have been multiple suspected transmission chains, increasing the risk of rapid spread. International Medical Corps is working to support a response, focusing on containment, case management, and community education, as well as strengthening treatment capacity.
