Insecurity in the Central Sahel region is causing people to move into northern Côte d'Ivoire. As a result, the country is hosting a significant number of refugees and asylum seekers. The total number of refugees and asylum seekers in Côte d'Ivoire is around 93,200.

Most of these individuals, approximately 82,000, are from neighboring Burkina Faso. Collaboration with various actors is underway to promote inclusion and economic opportunities for both refugees and host communities in the area.
