Migration movements in Djibouti have increased by 20 per cent in 2025 compared to the previous year. A total of 522,587 movements were recorded at the 9 Flow Monitoring Points in the country. The increase is attributed to several factors, including improved security along routes from Ethiopia to Djibouti and migrants attempting to re-enter the Arabian Peninsula.

Conflict and environmental issues in Ethiopia are also driving migration. Further details on the migration movements and factors contributing to the increase are available from the Annual Flow Monitoring Report 2025.
