Conflict-related disappearances have been documented by the CICR, with at least one person disappearing every two days on average. Among the missing are 36 children and teenagers. The CICR has recorded 2,659 cases of disappearances related to armed conflicts from 2016 to July this year.

These cases are known directly to the CICR and do not reflect the total number of disappearances in the country. The affected regions include Cauca, Norte de Santander, and Antioquia, which account for 59% of the disappearances. Further details on the disappearances and efforts to address them are available from the source.
