Damage from an earthquake and tsunami has been recorded in various facilities. This includes 502 educational facilities, 396 houses of worship, and 504 office buildings. Infrastructure such as roads, bridges, and irrigation facilities have also been affected.

Health concerns have been reported, with 5,931 cases of acute respiratory infection recorded across several areas. There have also been 27 cases of rabies-risk animal bites. Medical supplies in some areas are running low, with stocks of medicines and medical consumables beginning to deplete.
