A severe heat wave is expected to affect the entire country from July 30th to August 3rd. Temperatures are forecasted to reach 45-47 degrees centigrade, with a high to very high heat index nationwide. The heat wave also poses a high risk of fires.

To prepare the population, a public awareness campaign has been launched. Further information on the heat wave and related safety measures can be found through the National Society, which is also coordinating with organizers of outdoor public events to assess safety and health.
