. Highlights Continued military operations, new displacement and deteriorating access further limited humanitarian assistance and heightened protection concerns across Gaza. Agricultural recovery is at risk as animal feed shortages and soaring prices threaten livestock survival across the Gaza Strip
Key takeaway Settler attacks have become a leading cause of Palestinian injuries in the West Bank, accounting for 55 per cent of all Palestinian injuries in 2026.
Why this matters
The humanitarian situation in the occupied Palestinian territory (oPt) is becoming increasingly dire, with ongoing military operations and settler attacks driving displacement and limiting access to essential services. The impact on agricultural recovery in the Gaza Strip is particularly concerning, as animal feed shortages and soaring prices threaten livestock survival, which could have long-term consequences for food security. The disruption of water and sanitation services due to engine oil shortages also poses a significant public health risk. The demolition of schools, such as the Al Yanoun School, and the risk of demolition faced by others, like the Ar Rifa'iyya School, further exacerbates the humanitarian crisis, undermining access to education and exacerbating protection concerns. As the number of displaced communities grows, with Jabal al Aqra'a becoming the 47th fully displaced community since January 2023, the need for sustained humanitarian assistance and protection efforts becomes more pressing.
