Maternal and child nutrition issues have been documented. A recent survey found that while acute malnutrition in young children is relatively rare, chronic malnutrition affects a significant portion of this age group. Many children consumed unhealthy foods, and a sizable number experienced diarrhoea recently.

The survey also examined the health of girls and women, finding evidence of malnutrition. Dietary issues appear to be a concern, with many children not receiving a nutritious diet. Further information on these findings is available from the survey results.

Details on the survey methodology and full results are also available, providing more insight into the nutrition issues identified.
