Christians in western India are facing ongoing persecution following the arrest of a pastor. The pastor, who had been serving in a remote village, was taken into custody by police. His church had grown to include fellowships in nearby villages over the course of three years.

The pastor was initially jailed for three days, then rearrested and faced additional charges. Police also targeted other Christians, visiting their homes to issue threats. As a result, some Christians have been restricted from attending church by their non-Christian family members.

Further details about the situation are available from the Voice of the Martyrs. The pastor has requested prayer for the strength of the Christians he serves.
