Passages from the King James Bible are included in an updated mandatory reading list for public schools. The list features eight passages from the Bible for students in Kinder through eighth grade, and five additional passages for English I-IV. This update has sparked concern among critics and some conservative Christians, who argue it may favor Christianity over other religions and potentially violate the U.S.
