In the local area, the Logistics and Telecommunications Cluster has been working to maintain telecommunications services. This effort is part of a response to the conflict crisis in Sudan. The cluster has been active since May 2023.

Despite funding shortfalls, coordination and advocacy efforts have continued with humanitarian partners and national authorities. The goal is to support emergency responders and deliver lifesaving assistance.
