A significant amount of funding was provided to the Sudan Humanitarian Fund, with donors contributing over US$169 million. This enabled support to be given to more than 13 million people. Funding was allocated throughout the year to address various needs.

The humanitarian situation was severe, with conflict, displacement, and erosion of essential services being major concerns. People also struggled with hunger and disease.
