A recent survey provides insight into mobility dynamics. The International Organization for Migration conducted the 24th round of a general population survey from April 23 to June 30, 2026. Data collection was carried out by 71 interviewers through screening phone interviews with 40,002 randomly selected respondents.
Additional interviews were conducted with 1,453 internally displaced persons, 1,064 returnees, and 1,669 non-displaced individuals. All interviews were done using computer-assisted telephone interviewing. The survey results are presented in a report, which includes estimates of population numbers.
