A humanitarian crisis unfolded in Ukraine following a large-scale invasion by the Russian Federation. In response, the International Organization for Migration began conducting systematic assessments of the population. These assessments aim to gather information on displacement and living conditions to inform assistance efforts.

The survey frequency has changed over time, initially conducted every two months and later shifted to quarterly.
