Dengue cases have been reported in the Pacific region. In New Caledonia, a total of 2,234 cases have been reported since January 1, 2026. The number of cases has been steadily declining since the peak in EpiWeek 17, which is consistent with the cool season.

A blue alert for dengue remains in effect in New Caledonia, with Serotype 1 being the only circulating serotype. Further information on the dengue outbreak is available, including updates on other countries in the region such as Vanuatu, where an outbreak was reported as of August 10, 2026.
