Heavy rainfall on July 20 triggered severe flash flooding in eastern Afghanistan. The flooding had a significant impact on Parun City in Nuristan Province. Flooding was also reported in other areas, including Torkham in Nangarhar Province and Alingar District in Laghman Province.
