The IFRC Disaster Response Emergency Fund has allocated funds to reduce the impact of heatwaves. An amount of CHF 219,935 has been allocated for this purpose. Part of this allocation, CHF 81,650, is for pre-positioning stocks, while CHF 57,212 is for annual preparedness activities.

These activities are outlined in a simplified early action protocol. The protocol includes previously agreed actions to be taken. A report summarizes the preparation and pre-positioning activities carried out from January to December 2025.
