Consultations have been held to improve access to justice for victims of sexual violence. Several obstacles hinder the judicial process for survivors of such violence. To propose solutions, meetings between police and justice officials took place on October 5 and 6, bringing together representatives from the national police, civil and military magistrature, and other actors involved in the penal chain.

These meetings aimed to identify difficulties encountered on the ground and develop recommendations that can be taken to the national level. Discussions focused on institutional, operational, legal, and procedural obstacles. The initiative was organized with support from the United Nations Police.

Further details about the consultations and their outcomes are available from the source.
