A new WHO Representative has been appointed, with Dr Silviu Domente taking on the role. Two warehouses used by WHO were hit by attacks in September, resulting in the destruction of a main humanitarian warehouse and damage to another. This has affected the storage of essential medical supplies, with losses impacting support for nearly 270,000 people.

Attacks on health care have continued, with 180 verified in the third quarter of 2026. This represents a 17% increase from the previous quarter. A total of 480 attacks were verified in the first nine months of 2026.
